Southwest Wisconsin Ride & Camp Hobo Rally [WI] |
Make no mistake this is NOT the annual Gathering on the Green, please refer to 6/7/19 on the NC event calendar.
This is a ride and camp, with "HOBO" type meals. Yes this is a free event, thus you will be responsible for your own livelihood. There will be other riders there that maybe you can pool your resources with. Put in a little sweat equity helping to prepare, cook or clean up after the meal and yes you can go to your tent with a full belly. If you are a tenderfoot or pilgrim, there are places in town to PURCHASE a meal. Some members may show up as early as Wednesday. If you do not like to camp, there are motel options in Soldiers Grove and Readstown. Generally speaking there will not be much going on at the campground during the day, but come nightfall, there will be camaraderie, singing, joviality, BS and yes a B.A. campfire. Very good chance you will meet people from as far away as Missouri or maybe Kansas! So pack your tent and bag on your bike , and come join us for some fine riding, and lots of fun. Camping spots are first come, first serve. Camping fees are paid at the Mobil station located on Highway 61. Oh, for the modest minded, there are bathrooms and showers near by. |
