Sidestand Switch

Subject: interesting quick fix for side stand switch failure
Discovered a neat quick fix for a bad side stand switch on Saturday. If your side stand switch fails and  threatens to strand you somewhere, just pull out your Phillips screw driver and remove the clutch switch from the master cylinder. Allow it to dangle on it's wires and you can ride off. It completes the ignition circuit by tricking the bike into believing the clutch is pulled in all the time. Please be careful though, with the switch bypassed, you can start the bike in gear with the clutch out and you can ride with the side stand down.

And this follow up from Digest 2575
The side stand switch wiring is easy to get to behind the left side cover. It's quite near the fuse box. It does have three wires though and it's unclear to me which two to connect and how to connect them. The clutch switch is indeed where you said.

Maybe someone who's doing this could take some pics and write some more detail for us?
