Garmin GPS Mount

Like many riders, I finally succumbed to the lure of GPS. It didn't take long on a recent trip to fall in love with the little bugger. Before I left home, I entered a few routes and waypoints. One particularly hot day, on the way from Williams, Arizona to Las Vegas, I had my intended motel set as my destination. The GPS took me right to the front door with lots of warnings about upcoming turns and freeway exits.

The parts that I ordered are:

  • Ram Holder RAM-HOL-GA2 (cradle)
  • Ram Base Diamond RAM-B-238 (attaches cradle to arm)
  • Ram Standard 3" Arm RAM-B-201
  • Ram Plate RAM-B-252 (mirror mount - mounts arm to bike)
The pilot's eye view. I like the Ram because I was able to put the GPS fairly close to my eyes without interfering with any of the controls on the handlebars. The screen is a bit small and this made it quite readable at highway speeds.

And here's where the power comes from.
